Another card - Matryoshka
Everything is Close To My Heart (except the stamp set and the border punch). When I saw this stamp set, I just had to have it. My mother-in-law's birthday was coming up and she's of Ukrainian descent so it just had to be bought! LOLI stamped the image and colored it in with our markers (cranberry and garden green)and used our blending pen to blend the colors out a bit and soften them. Used the blending pen, too, to add the shading on the dolls and the shadows under the dolls. The ribbon is our grosgrain cranberry ribbon as well.
Can't remember which paper pack I used, though! LOL Gotta start writing this stuff down - my memory is fabulous but VERY short!
Lifted the card design from Andrea Walford. (That girl's got some talent!) Tweaked it to make it my own, though.
MIL loved the card, BTW. :-)

Artwork

Okay, these are NOT the artwork I promised but it's something until I finish installing all of the programs in my new computer that I had in my old computer. I have a couple of layouts that I had scanned but I have not stitched them together yet and have not installed the program I use to do that yet. Never seems to be enough hours in a day.
These are the cards I made for Xmas. I forgot to take pictures or scan the original cards so these are scans of three rejects but will give you an idea of what the 'good' ones look like.
In the first card, my stamp block left a line of chocolate ink on the left side of the card so didn't want to send it out. :-)
The second card, I grabbed the wrong color of ink to ink over the embossed reindeer so didn't want to send that one out either.
The last one, after embossing the swirling flakes, I blew on the embossing to cool it and it splattered. Again, no way was it getting sent out. LOL
All the cards were lifted from other talented people on the web - forgot to write down who they are but have them bookmarked somewhere so will update when I find them again. Bad Lisa!
Everything, except the lattice punch is from Close To My Heart!
Have a great night ... best get to bed as 6am comes early!

I am still around ....
I do have artwork to post but recently bought a new computer and all of my images are on my old computer harddrive and have not transferred them over yet. I don't have the proper cable so my mission tomorrow is to find and purchase the cable I need to do it and cross my fingers. Have never transferred data from one CPU to another before so should be interesting. LOL
Wish me luck!

2010 Layout Challenge
I don't know what I've got myself into but a fellow CTMH Consultant has issued a challenge to the rest of us Consultants to do between 120-150 layouts in 2010! Why oh why do I do this to myself!!!! She recommended 120-150 but I opted in for 100 - about 2 a week - which to me is (maybe) do-able.
We will all be posting the layouts on our blogs with the label of "2010 Layout Challenge" so we can keep track of one another.
Stay tuned - it should be fun!
If you want to play along, let me know ... I'll try and think up something fun to do while we are in the process and maybe a little something-something for someone at the end of it all! Comment if you're interested or have any questions.
To see all the CTMH Consultants playing along see the right side panel for links.
(ETA: I think I will cave to peer pressure. The lowest anyone else is committing to is 120 so will change my amount to that .... keep your fingers crossed!)

Meet Felicity ...
I have been so crazy busy with work and TRYING to get all of my Xmas cards made and mailed out (plus all the other fun stuff that goes with the holiday season - like shopping ...lol) that I haven't had time to play with this yet but I have FOUR glorious days off next week to play to my heart's content and that's exactly what I am planning on doing. I love the die cut papers and the colors are really growing on me .... they got me thinking outside my comfort zone of colors and I am just loving the combinations Close To My Heart have come up with on this one.
I can't believe I am going to say this but, yes, I am liking the orange in combination with the other colors! Gasp! (Orange and yellow are my least fave colors to use when scrapping - I usually find them so hard to use) I am actually looking forward to working with this kit now! Yep, I am going to live on the edge! :-)
